Kersia expands partnership with Meat Business Women to support its global strategy
Kersia has expanded its partnership with Meat Business Women (MBW), reinforcing its long-term commitment to supporting the attraction, retention and progression of women across the global food supply chain.
A long-standing Supporting Partner of Meat Business Women, Kersia has worked with the organisation for several years at a UK and Ireland level. From January 2026, Kersia will elevate its involvement to become a Strategic Partner, aligning the partnership with its global business and people strategy.
The two-year strategic partnership will increase access to Meat Business Women’s career-enhancing resources for women across Kersia’s international operations. This includes global networking opportunities, personal development masterclasses, mentoring programmes and strategic connections designed to support progression in a traditionally male-dominated industry.
As a supplier operating across the food supply chain, Kersia’s decision to expand its partnership demonstrates a best-in-class approach to supporting gender balance beyond its own organisation. By investing in the development and visibility of female talent, Kersia is helping to set the standard for how supply chain partners can play an active role in building a more inclusive industry.
Kersia is also a supporting signatory of the Food Business Charter, which sets out a collective ambition for the food industry to reach 40% female representation by 2035. Through this expanded partnership, Kersia aims to further strengthen its focus on attracting, retaining and advancing female talent, while contributing to industry-wide progress on gender inclusion.
Kathleen Chisholm, HR Director at Kersia UK said:
“"Expanding our partnership with Meat Business Women globally is about creating visibility and opportunity. We want every talented individual to see a clear path for progression, and having strong female role models helps make that possible. Through MBW’s networking, mentoring and development programmes, we’re giving our people access to resources that inspire growth and confidence. This is an important step in building an inclusive industry where the best person for the job can thrive."
Laura Ryan, Founder and Global Chair of Meat Business Women, said “We’ve worked closely with Kersia for a number of years and are delighted to see the partnership evolve. Kersia has been a consistent and committed supporter of Meat Business Women, and this step demonstrates real leadership from a supply chain partner. By backing the women in their business and engaging strategically with our global network, Kersia is playing an important role in helping to attract and retain female talent across the industry.”
