Australian Meat Business Women of the Year Award

The Meat Business Women of the Year Award is a new national award established to recognise an established woman with 10 or more years’ experience who has made a significant and sustained contribution to Australia’s meat industry.

Open to women working across all parts of the sector — including processing, production, retail, supply chain, service provision and allied industries — the award reflects Meat Business Women’s purpose to inspire, connect and support women across the industry. It celebrates leadership that strengthens capability, builds inclusive workplaces and contributes to a thriving, future-focused sector.

Nominations are made by colleagues, peers and industry leaders who recognise leadership that creates impact over time.

Who Can Be Nominated

To be eligible, nominees must:

Be employed in the Australian meat industry at the time of nomination
Have a minimum of 10 years’ industry experience
Have demonstrated sustained leadership and contribution over time
Provide written consent to be nominated
Be willing to participate in interviews and promotional activities related to the award

The Prize

The recipient of the Meat Business Women of the Year Award will receive:

$5,000 AUD to support their professional or personal development
National recognition through Meat Business Women channels
Formal presentation of the award at tan upcoming MBW event

The prize supports continued growth through leadership development, education, mentoring, travel or other opportunities aligned with the recipient’s goals.
