Sofina Foods Europe expands partnership with Meat Business Women to accelerate inclusion and strengthen the future talent pipeline
Sofina Foods Europe has expanded its long-standing partnership with Meat Business Women (MBW), reinforcing its commitment to building a more inclusive culture and supporting the attraction, retention and progression of women across its European food supply chain.
The business has worked with MBW for several years at a Strategic Partner level. From March 2026, Sofina has now elevated this partnership to offer colleagues Unlimited Membership, enabling every employee to access MBW’s global network, mentoring programmes, development masterclasses and career‑enhancing resources.
This strengthened collaboration reflects Sofina’s belief that gender diversity is mission‑critical to the future of the food industry. With the sector facing ongoing workforce shortages and rapidly shifting supply chain demands, the company recognises the importance of widening its talent pool, unlocking diverse perspectives and creating workplaces where everyone can thrive.
To mark the launch of the expanded partnership, Sofina hosted an internal colleague event last week, aligned with International Women’s Day. The session brought together colleagues from across the business for a day focused on networking, allyship and personal development, reinforcing that attracting women is just the first step and creating environments where they want to stay and progress is the real goal.
Sofina is also a signatory of the Food Business Charter, which outlines a collective industry ambition to reach 40% female representation by 2035. The company sees this partnership as an important lever to support that ambition while improving business performance, fostering innovation and ensuring its workforce better reflects the consumers it serves.
Ash Amirahmadi, CEO at Sofina Foods Europe, said:
“At Sofina, we believe that attracting, retaining and developing women isn’t just the right thing to do, it’s essential to the future strength of our business and our industry. If we want the best ideas, we need the broadest voices and that means creating an environment where everyone feels they belong and can build a long, fulfilling career.
Our expanded partnership with Meat Business Women is an important step in that journey. It gives every colleague access to world‑class networks, mentoring and development and it helps us build a culture where women aren’t just joining our industry, they’re thriving in it.
By listening, learning and taking meaningful action, we can remove barriers, open doors and build teams that better reflect the consumers we serve. When women thrive, our organisation thrives and the entire food industry becomes stronger, more innovative and more resilient for the future.”
Laura Ryan, Founder and Global Chair of Meat Business Women, said:
“We’ve worked closely with Sofina Foods Europe for a number of years and are delighted to see the partnership evolve. We have fantastic senior level support from the Sofina team and this step demonstrates real progress from a leading manufacturer. By backing the women in their business and engaging strategically with our global network, Sofina is playing an important role in helping to attract and retain female talent across the industry.”
