The 2026 Gender Representation Report, powered by Meat Business Women

Take Part Now: Shape the Future of Gender Representation in Global Food and Meat Manufacturing

Meat Business Women are currently gathering data for the third edition of the Global Gender Representation Report — the definitive global study tracking gender balance across the meat and food manufacturing industries.

And we need you to take part.

The 2026 edition will be the most comprehensive yet, expanding beyond meat to include insights from the entire global food manufacturing sector. It will show how women’s representation has evolved since 2020 and highlight the actions driving progress toward the Food Business Charter’s goal of 40% female representation by 2035.

Data submission opens on 6 January 2026 and closes on 20th February 2026.

How to Take Part

1. Complete the Business Survey

Complete the business survey before 20 February 2026. This covers organisational progress against gender inclusion milestones and gender distribution data.

  • If your organisation operates in food and meat manufacturing sectors — complete the survey.
  • If you work with food or meat manufacturers — encourage your suppliers and partners to take part.

2. Distribute the Employee Pulse Survey amongst all colleagues

This pulse survey should be shared to everyone across your workforce.

We require responses from everyone of any gender, working in food and meat manufacturing.

The survey will be live until 9th February 2026.

All data will be anonymised and consolidated, consistent with previous years, ensuring full confidentiality.

You don’t need to be a Meat Business Women partner or Charter signatory to take part, but those who are will receive a dedicated benchmark report and exclusive insights.

If you have any questions, the Meat Business Women team can walk you through the process and help you get ready to participate. Contact us here.
