Oscar Mayer strengthens commitment to gender inclusion with new Strategic Partnership with Meat Business Women

Oscar Mayer has announced a new two-year Strategic Partnership with Meat Business Women (MBW), reinforcing its long-term commitment to attracting, retaining and advancing female talent across the global food supply chain.

Building on a successful start as a Supporting Partner in 2025, the move to Strategic Partner status marks a significant step forward in Oscar Mayer’s ambition to create meaningful opportunities for women across its international operations.

Through this expanded partnership, employees across the business will benefit from increased access to Meat Business Women’s global network and career-enhancing resources. This includes personal development masterclasses, mentoring programmes, industry-leading research insights and strategic networking opportunities designed to support progression in what remains a traditionally male-dominated sector.

As a major supplier operating across the food supply chain, Oscar Mayer’s decision to deepen its partnership demonstrates a proactive and industry-facing approach to gender balance. By investing in the development and visibility of female talent, the business is not only strengthening its own leadership pipeline but also contributing to wider progress across the sector.

Oscar Mayer is also a signatory of the Food Business Charter, which sets out a collective ambition for the food industry to reach 40% female representation by 2035. This strategic partnership further aligns the company’s internal talent strategy with industry-wide action on gender inclusion.

Joe McGurk, Group Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Oscar Mayer, said:

“This partnership is about more than representation — it’s about transformation. The future of our industry depends on the breadth of talent we attract, develop and champion. For too long, exceptional women have faced structural barriers in the food supply chain. We are determined to help dismantle those barriers.

By strengthening our partnership with Meat Business Women, we are making a clear and deliberate statement: inclusion is not a side initiative — it is a business imperative. When women thrive, businesses perform better, leadership becomes stronger and the entire sector becomes more sustainable. We are proud to play an active role in shaping an industry where opportunity is defined by talent and ambition, not gender.”

Laura Ryan, Founder and Global Chair of Meat Business Women, said: “Strategic partnerships are where we see the greatest impact. When businesses like Oscar Mayer move beyond intent and make a long-term commitment to developing and progressing female talent, it sends a powerful signal across the industry. Real change happens when organisations invest not only in their own people, but in raising standards across the wider supply chain — and we’re proud to be working alongside Oscar Mayer to accelerate that progress.”
